Yes, she's one of m y favorite authors. I love how she can mix science fiction or fantasy with a really inspirational family story. Her books really make you think, and cry. My favorites are Many Waters, The Young Unicorns, and A Ring of Endless Light. That last one is especially important to me because my own grandfather was very sick at the time I was reading it. So how about you?

I looove The Arm of the Starish! I read it when I was in ... what was it ... oh yeah, sixth grade, and never forgot it. It was my first romance(ish) novel. Caitlin

A wrinkle in time was my first sci fi novel, and I've read it about 3 times. I also like a wind in the door and a swiftly tilting planet. I've also read many waters. I've wanted to read more of her stuff, but I have a hard time getting hold of it sometimes.

Wait, I'm right about the Arm of the Starfish being by her aren't I? Maybe I got the name wrong? Sorry if I did. Caitlin

Hey I love this author!! (Although I can never spell her name) I thought it was so cool she could do really sci fi stuff and do stuff like Arm of the Starfish too (pretty sure that's by her, has some of the characters anyways.) I was always slightly jealous of her families though. They had their issues, but they were quirky and accepting. Great escape.

Yeah. I certainly loved the arm of the starfish! Heehee,. I never got into a Wrinkle in Time, maybe I should try it again. Caitlin

You should. That was my first book I read by her too.

Yeah I started it and it seemed okay. Lol. I should try again. Caitlin

I loved Wrinkle In Time but it has been a long time since I've read it. The Young Unicorns was good too.

I love her books! i think the Vicky Austin series is probably my favorite series by her.

Hi: The only book I read about Vicki was The Young Unicorns. Will have to look into some of the others.

Meet the Austins is reall good as is A Ring of Endless Light. I also recently reread The 24 Days before Christmas. that's more of a children's book, but it's really sweet too.

I want to check her out. I read a little of a wrinkle in time back when I was in fifth grade. I had to read it to a abnoxious first grader. I might go back.

I've read A Wrinkle in time first when I was in 7th grade, in the 8 years since then I've read it another 25 times, and also have the movie, I'd say that I'm a little more than slightly obsessed. I also read A Wind in the Door as well and plan on reading it again, when I finish HP book 5 again.

I've read most of the books in the Wrinkle in Time series. Many of them are available on Web Braille. I have never read any of the books about the Austins, but maybe I should, because I like everything I've read by her thus far.

I've found the rest of her books, and really should read them, that's something to do over the summer!

Yes, she was an excellent science fiction and fantasy writer. Unfortunately, she passed away in september at the ripe old age of 89, I think. A wrinkle in Time was the first book of hers I actually read. I read it shortly after listening to her narration of the story on tape. I've also read a Wind in the Door, A ring of Endless Light, Meet the Austins, Many waters, and i'd love to read the Young Unicorns.

I love her books. I've read A Ring Of Endless Light, and Troubleing A Star. They were great.

Troubling a Star ... Is that one part of a series?

I've got a hard time getting her books too, and yes you're right, her books are classic. Anyone can read and love them. I liked a swiftly tilting planet because I read it in 2004 and.... things had just started getting very frightening the year before, for me, for others, and for the world. 2004 was, for some reason, the summer in which all my real fears and problems started. Maybe it's because that )as also the summer when I lost my illusions, shall we say. A swiftly tilting planet reminds me, not just of what I and the world went through, but how it was overcome, at least on my part.

I recently read Ring of Endless Light and Meet the Austins. Good books. Are there other ones in the Austin series? I've also never read any of the Young Unicorns. Hmmm. Maybe those will be next.
